Welcome to My Blog

Thank you for stopping by
to take a look at
"My Whimsical Victorian Chic Cottage" blog!

For all of you who are as passionate as I am about design and decorating you will love my new blog! I plan to fill it with lots of pretty cottage chic decorating ideas as well as share with you some pictures and ideas of how to transform flea market finds into vintage sweet heirloom treasures!

Also, coming soon, on October 1st, I will be setting up shop at the "House at 755" located in Holliston, Massachusetts where I will be selling all of my delightful treasures! There will be a lovely collection of vintage heirloom china, pretty hand painted furniture and signs, shabby sweet linens, pillows, cottage style decor accessories and so much more! So, should you be passing through our quaint little New England town, be sure to stop in!

I would love to hear your comments! Let me know what you think of my blog and what you would like to see. And should you stop and take a look at my shop please let me know what you think!

  1. Hello Cheryl,

I visited the House at 755 in Holliston today on my way to visting my dear Aunt who lives in Holliston. I always try to stop into this shop when I'm "in town" (I live in Wakefield). I walked in the shop and went directly upstairs to look around. When I walked around the corner I noticed this inviting light and uplifting glow coming from the doorway of the back room, exuding the Shabby Cottage Elegant Chic that I love so much. I thought I had lost my pulse and went to heaven when I entered your room. I was so excited, I didn't know what to look at first! I noticed your gorgeous mosaic piece hanging to the left with the equally pretty tag hanging from it. When I saw, "My Whimisical Victorian Chic Cottage" in print on the tag, I knew I'd been familiar with that name. Then I realized it was you, then more excitement! I had purchased a long white table from you that you had listed on ebay (about 4 years ago), and I picked it up at your home. I also purchased a couple other items from you from your basement (which looked more charming than most folks primary living space). I'm sure you've dealt with many people and may not remember me (my name is also Cheryl), but I have to tell you that I, for one, am SO excited that you're in that shop. And with the risk of boring you further...the really strange thing is that I had just, last evening, been talking to a friend about that piece that I purchased from you, and I was bragging about your better that fantastic items and talents. I mentioned that I wish I knew how to contact you to see if you still had items for sale. So in conclusion...I got my wish! Your spot is gorgeous beyond words, from floor to ceiling and everything in between. Two other women entered your room while I was there, and they both had the same reaction, which was, "WOW...this is wonderful".
I wished I lived closer to Holliston, but now I will probably be visting "Aunty" even more!
Keep up the beautiful work, Cheryl.
    With much appreciation,
    Cheryl Conly

  3. You are an incredibly talented woman. My very favorite piece in my home is a table that you created for me. I said "paint me"! You captured my inner self with a scene that screams Martha's vineyard...my haven!!!
I look forward to this next piece you are doing for me and plan on going into your new shop tomorrow to see it.
