Love those street side treasure finds...
For all of you who are as passionate as I am about finding wonderful yesteryear treasures in need of a little renovation and loving care, I thought you would enjoy seeing pictures of my wing back chair makeover! A true labor of love!
In it's original condition...
After removing at least a million upholstery tacks and the torn leather...
Next I painted the legs white with a little distressing and glaze then began the task of adding new padding and using a beautiful beige linen to re-upholster...
Voila...a new chair accented with this wonderfully chic pillow from "Renovation Hardware"...
Originally, I had planned to sell it at my little store space at "The House at 755" but after all of that work I decided to keep it to accent my guest bedroom...
THE BEDROOM
Simple and inviting...accented with vintage photographs and this fabulous pair of vintage baby shoes that belonged to my grandmother...
and this delightful handcrafted sachet...
with the same theme carried into the guest bath..
Hope you enjoyed this makeover and hoping that I have left you with new ideas and new inspiration for your next yesteryear creative endeavor!
Thank you for stopping by!
